Abstract
The binder commonly used in flexible pavement construction is bitumen or asphalt in asphalt mixtures. In meeting the Marshall parameters, the asphalt content must be able to meet the best or commonly referred to as the optimum asphalt content (KAO). Evaluation of the optimum asphalt content (KAO) is carried out using a centrifuge extraction tool or reflector, which is a tool that functions to determine the percentage of asphalt mixture content, so that the aggregate grains mixed with asphalt, as well as filler additives become separate parts by a liquid solvent. The method used in this research is to take test samples and conduct tests in accordance with SNI 03-3640-1994, Method of Testing Asphalt Content by Extraction Using Soklet Tools. The objective to be achieved in this study is to determine the asphalt content of the extraction results in the top layer of the flexible pavement of the Ronggolawe Campus road, Kec. Cepu Kab. Blora. The test results show that the extraction value on the Ronggolawe Campus road, Cepu District, Blora Regency has an average asphalt content of 4.87%. The test results show that this value is still below the asphalt pavement specifications.
