PENGARUH SUDUT SUDU TERHADAP PUTARAN TURBIN ANGIN SAVONIUS TIPE-L
Abstract
The use of wind energy as an alternative energy to replace fuel oil to drive turbines has been carried out by many researchers, this is because wind energy does not cause air waste. Wind speeds in Indonesia range from 2 m/s to 3 m/s, this is suitable for driving the Savonius wind turbine which is a vertical-axis wind turbine. This study used the L-type savonius wind turbine, it was carried out by varying the blade angles of 100°, 120°, and 140°. The research was carried out in a laboratory experiment, the wind speed was varied at 3, 4, 5, and 6 m/s. The study aimed to determine the effect of the blade angle on rotation. The results show that the turbine blade angle is bigger so the turbine shaft rotation will be higher, and if the wind speed is higher so the turbine rotation will be higher.
