Desain Ground Water Tank Berfiltrasi Untuk Air Hujan di Tuk Buntung, Cepu
Abstract
Flooding is a disaster that often occurs due to high rainfall intensity in upstream areas, which causes rivers to overflow and inundate the surrounding area. This study aims to design a rainwater collection system through the construction of a groundwater tank equipped with a filtration system, as an alternative solution to reduce the potential for flooding and utilize rainwater in the Tuk Buntung area, Cepu, Blora. Using the rational method, the planned peak flood discharge was obtained at 0.02614 m³/second for an area of 0.45 km². Based on these results, a water storage tank with a capacity of 240 m³ with dimensions of 8 m × 10 m × 3 m was designed. The water filtration system consists of several layers of media, including activated carbon, silica sand, zeolite, gravel, palm fiber or sponge, and ceramic powder. The results of the study indicate that this system is able to improve the quality of rainwater so that it can be used for various purposes, as well as being an environmentally friendly solution. The implementation of this system is expected to reduce the risk of local inundation and flooding, as well as support more optimal clean water management, especially in areas with limited access to clean water sources.
