Abstract

The intake pump is a critical component in the water supply system at a Steam Power Plant, which draws raw water for the plant's operational needs. The purpose of this study is to analyze and monitor the performance of the intake pump based on its operational parameters. The methods used included field observations, operational data collection through the monitoring system in the Central Control Room (CCR), and analysis of pump performance parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and efficiency. The analysis results showed that the actual pump efficiency was in the range of 55,79 – 61,77%, while the theoretical efficiency was 80%. This difference was influenced by operational conditions and energy losses in the system. It can be concluded that the intake pump is still operating well, but regular monitoring is necessary to maintain the performance and reliability of the PLTU's water supply system.
