Musical Instrument Rental Information System at R.A.P Studio & Production Yogyakarta
Abstract
R.A.P Studio & Production is a business in Yogyakarta engaged in music equipment rental, which also offers various other services such as studio rental, sound systems, and recording. The problem at R.A.P Studio & Production is that its booking and management processes are still conducted manually, requiring customers to inquire directly with the studio to check the availability, specifications, and prices of the equipment. Furthermore, there is no automated reminder system for equipment pickup and return. The system development method used in this research is the Waterfall model, designing a website-based system using the PHP programming language and a MySQL database. This research successfully produced an information system capable of managing the entire music equipment rental business process in a computerized manner, from displaying product information, online booking, payment verification, and transaction data management, to reporting. Based on the black box testing results, all functions work properly. Furthermore, the Alpha testing results showed that 27% of respondents strongly agreed and 59% agreed with the system's appearance, while 22% strongly agreed and 64% agreed with the system's performance. This system is proven to make it easier for customers to obtain information and make rentals, while also assisting the studio in managing operational data more efficiently.
