Implementation of the Apriori Algorithm Method to Determine Agricultural Medicine Purchase Patterns

Abstract

Agriculture in Indonesia has an important role in the life, development and economy of the country. As an agricultural country, Indonesia has a variety of agricultural commodities that can be grown in tropical areas, both to meet domestic food needs and to be exported abroad. Sumberpitu Village is a village in Blora Regency, more precisely located in Cepu District. Sumberpitu Village is one of the villages that can develop potential in the agricultural sector. UD. Sumber Tani Rejeki is a distributor of agricultural medicines in the Sumberpitu area. UD. Sumber Tani Rejeki was founded in 2000 until now. Products sold by UD. Sumber Tani Rejeki provides approximately 70 types of agricultural medicines with an average number of transactions per month of 40 transactions. UD. Sumber Tani Rejeki is hoarding unused purchase receipts. With the problems experienced, it is necessary to utilize data using Data Mining. The a priori algorithm is one of the most well-known algorithms for determining high frequency patterns or association rules. The application of the a priori algorithm is very easy to understand in the process of forming itemset combinations. Therefore, the a priori algorithm is suitable to be applied in finding the types of agricultural medicines that are most sold. The application of a priori algorithm calculations using both manual calculations and application of 15 transaction data produces 13 association rules. Where, the iteration stops at the 3rd iteration.
